This Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy explains how Toecial ("Toecial", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, browser storage, edge caching, and real-user performance monitoring (RUM) technologies when you visit or interact with our platform.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your web browser when visiting websites. They allow a site to recognize your device, maintain authenticated sessions, secure form submissions, and store preferences.
Similar technologies include HTML5 local storage (key-value data stored in your browser without expiration headers), content delivery network (CDN) edge caching, and client-side performance beacons.
2. Technologies and Categories We Use
Strictly Necessary & Security Cookies
These technologies are technically essential for the core operation, accessibility, and security of Toecial. Because the site cannot function properly without them, they cannot be switched off in our preference center.

toecial_session): Maintains your authenticated account session while logged in. Expires when you log out or close your browser. - Security token (CSRF): Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks and validates that actions originate from authentic user sessions. Required for form submissions and payment workflows.
- Age verification cookie (
toecial_age_ack): Stores your confirmation that you meet the mandatory minimum age requirement (18+), preventing repeated verification gates on subsequent visits (retained for up to 1 year). - Consent preference records (
toecial_cookie_analytics,toecial_cookie_prefs): Stores your privacy choices so we do not prompt you repeatedly.
Cloudflare Global CDN Edge Caching
We utilize Cloudflare, Inc. as our global Content Delivery Network (CDN) and reverse proxy. Cloudflare operates edge servers around the world, including within the European Union (EU) and United States.
- Static Asset & Media Caching: Edge servers temporarily store optimized media previews, image thumbnails, JavaScript bundles, and stylesheets close to your geographic location.
- No Behavioral Profiling: Cloudflare edge caching serves public or cached assets directly from the nearest regional data center. This caching does not track you across unrelated third-party websites or construct behavioral advertising profiles.
Real User Monitoring (RUM) & Performance Telemetry
We utilize Cloudflare Observatory Real User Monitoring (RUM) globally, including for visitors from the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA), and United Kingdom (UK).
- Cookieless Operation: Cloudflare RUM does not set or read cookies, does not access your persistent local storage to identify you, and does not track individual visitors across different websites or sessions.
- Telemetry Collected: RUM anonymously measures technical performance metrics directly in your browser, including Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint — LCP, First Input Delay / Interaction to Next Paint — INP, Cumulative Layout Shift — CLS), Time to First Byte (TTFB), DOM render durations, and aggregate network latency.
- Purpose & Legal Basis: This telemetry is processed under our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to diagnose network latency, identify regional delivery bottlenecks, ensure platform stability, and optimize loading speeds for all users. No personal identifiers or profiling data are shared with advertisers.
Functional & Preference Technologies
Functional storage allows our platform to remember your individual visual and browsing preferences:
- UI & Theme Preferences (
ttd-theme): Remembers whether you selected light mode or dark mode, and your recent search filters, if you enable Preferences. - Cart Storage: Preserves digital items and media in your shopping cart between page visits so your selections are not lost before checkout.
Optional Analytics & Diagnostics
Analytics are strictly optional. When you choose to allow Analytics in your Cookie Settings, Toecial may use a lightweight first-party analytics beacon or platform-configured analytics integrations to understand aggregate traffic patterns, page popularity, and referral sources.
Analytics data is never sold and is never linked to cross-site behavioral advertising or third-party ad networks.
3. Third-Party Services & Processors
- Cloudflare: Provides CDN caching, DDoS mitigation, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and cookieless Real User Monitoring (RUM). Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and enterprise Data Processing Addendum.
- CCBill: Our payment processing partner handles billing transactions directly on secure payment gateways. CCBill may utilize fraud-prevention and transaction cookies as detailed in their privacy documentation.
- Didit: Age and identity verification provider for artists and compliance requirements.
We do not embed third-party marketing trackers, data broker scripts, or ad-retargeting pixels on our platform.
4. EU / EEA & UK Visitor Notice (ePrivacy Directive & GDPR)
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom:
- Strictly necessary cookies and core CDN security/caching are deployed based on technical necessity to deliver the requested service (ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) exemption).
- Performance monitoring via Cloudflare RUM operates without cookies or persistent identifiers, processed under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests to maintain site availability and performance.
- Optional preferences and analytics cookies are deployed only when you grant explicit consent via our Cookie Notice & Preferences Modal (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
